Though this is not on the Plateau proper. This happened at the Ocoee River Gorge along US Highway 64 in the scenic Cherokee National Forest of southeastern Tennessee. Here's what Watch for Falling Rocks means.
The same type of rock slides happened on the road between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. A mud and rock slide also happened in Fentress County on Highway 85
