Rugby/Historic British Colony State
In Morgan County on Hwy 52.  A rural English colony, Founded by author Thomas Hughes in the 1880s,  Thomas Hughes  died in England in 1896.  Four of seventeen original buildings open to public  Hughes Public Library (still standing) unchanged since October 5, 1882, containing 7,000 original volumes Church services are still held at the Christ Church, Episcopal, built in 1887. Home style cooking is served at the Harrow Road Cafe Unique accommodations are available at Pioneer Cottage and Newbury House Inn. Shop for traditional crafts and other unusual wares at the Rugby Commissary.  Open daily March through November.  Admission charged
